Our Evaluation Approach – and What We Value

How We Evaluate Vendors

  • Step 1 – Analysis
    • We build on the current state and align all stakeholders in the organization to create a clear overview. The goal is one system for all use cases, seamlessly integrated into the existing systems.
  • Step 2 – Target State
    • Our evaluation framework goes beyond functional and non-functional key requirements. In addition to assessing the product itself, we also evaluate the vendor and realistic cost scenarios.
  • Step 3 – Vendor Shortlisting
    • The best choice is not always the systems ranked “top right” by analysts. The jointly defined shortlist can also include EU-focused solutions or industry-specific platforms.
    • Note: Depending on the situation, the focus may be purely on “systems,” or directly on “vendors,” meaning both software solutions and service providers are considered in this step
  • Step 4 – Vendor Evaluation
    • With us, you won’t experience the usual scoring fetishism where product B “wins” with 384 points versus A with 367. Instead, we evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and potential obstacles.
    • Note: Depending on the case, we may also organize vendor briefings and pitches focused on central demo use cases.
  • Step 5 – Vendor Recommendation
    • Our recommendation goes beyond selecting vendors (systems and providers) – it also includes the proposed way forward. This ensures that all stakeholders and management are brought back to the right level of perspective.

We offer evaluations scaled to your needs:

  • Size S – Expert Recommendation
    • Recommendation of a system that fits your use cases.
    • The option with the least effort, ideal for smaller solutions, e.g., CMS systems.
  • Size M – Detailed Evaluation
    • A more comprehensive evaluation, following the 5-step process outlined above.
  • Size L – Guided RFP Process
    • Creation of a complete RFP for the client, including guidance through to system selection.
    • Close involvement of vendors, including Q&A sessions and well-prepared demo presentations.
