Challenge

The new website had to go live on the date of the merger of the four St. Gallen hospital associations to form the newly created company HOCH Health Ostschweiz (1 January 2025). The implementation project was characterised by a tight schedule and high technical complexity, so we were asked to complement, advise and support the core team in managing the project through solution architecture and product owner consulting.

Approach

We had already formulated the relevant requirements, concepts and objectives for the WTO tender and evaluation, which made us the right partner to manage the implementation project in close cooperation with and as an extension of the customer's core team and to lead it to success. On the one hand, we ensured the technical know-how in the core team through a solution architect, who acted as a bridge to the technical contacts in the customer's IT department and the implementing agency. On the other hand, a consultant advised and supported the HOCH product owner in managing the project and leading the implementation agency (including representation on the steering committee).

Result

By complementing the client's core team with the skills and experience required to manage the implementation project and lead an implementation agency, we were able to play a key role in ensuring that the new website went live in time for the successful merger of the four hospital associations, despite the tight timeframe, high technical complexity and required go-live date of New Year's Eve 2024.

Highlights

The client's core team and our consultants worked very closely together in a familiar way. With the right skills and experience from numerous implementation projects, our consultants were able to add real value and make a significant contribution to the success of the project.
