Architecture that is truly needed.

We are diselva, independent consultants for digital transformation. We develop strategic roadmaps and architectures for clients ranging from SMEs to large corporations, and we support them all the way through to the implementation of the solution. We take responsibility for the result, not just for the plan.

We’re not looking for an architect who works in an ivory tower. We’re looking for someone who can design a vision, advocate for it with the client, and then is both able and willing to implement the proof of concept themselves. You’ll take responsibility when a project begins, work directly with the client, and implement architectures yourself. In doing so, you’re encouraged—and expected—to write code again. Not because no one else is available, but because you enjoy it and because architecture improves when you implement it yourself.

AI plays a dual role for you: as a consulting topic that you make concrete and usable for our clients, and as a tool in your daily work. AI-supported development is part of our everyday routine here—not just a pilot project.

Your Role

  • You’ll develop target architectures and roadmaps, from assessing the current state to prioritizing implementation plans.
  • You’ll be responsible for application and integration architectures: system landscape design, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies.
  • You help our clients advance in AI: from use cases through data foundations and architecture to determining what makes economic sense and what doesn’t.
  • You build proof-of-concepts yourself rather than just describing them, bringing ideas to life so they can be evaluated.
  • You take on implementation projects at client sites and deliver code when the project requires it.
  • You make productive use of coding agents and AI tools and critically evaluate what they deliver.
  • You consult directly with clients at all levels—from the development team to senior management—and contribute your expertise to evaluations and proposals.

What You Bring to the Table

  • At least 8 years of experience in architectural and implementation projects. If you’ve never built anything, it’s hard to judge what will hold up.
  • You still code, and you want to keep doing so. A modern tech stack that you’ve mastered.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern architectural patterns, integration approaches, and platforms: from content and commerce systems, through ERP, CRM, PIM, and DAM, to APIs, cloud services, data, and enterprise architecture management.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted and agent-based coding, including the ability to critically evaluate generated code.
  • A clear understanding of what AI can and cannot do in businesses today, and the ability to derive sound architectures and recommendations from this understanding.
  • The ability to explain architecture as a business decision: costs, risk, dependencies, and timing.
  • Consulting skills: listening, structuring, persuading—even in the face of resistance.
  • A passion for sales and the ability to convince clients of the value of our services.
  • The curiosity and perseverance to immerse yourself in unfamiliar industries and technologies until you truly understand them—not just know their names.
  • Fluency in German and English; willingness to travel; work location in St. Gallen or Bern.

This isn’t for you if …

  • … your last line of code was written years ago, and you want it to stay that way.
  • … your contribution ends with the target vision, and the implementation is up to others.
  • … you don’t know how to use AI tools or trust them without verifying them first.
  • … you prioritize frameworks over whether the company can support the solution.
  • … you withdraw your recommendation as soon as it becomes uncomfortable in a meeting.

What We Offer

  • These two roles—consulting and implementation, without an “either/or” approach—alternate depending on the client’s needs and the project phase.
  • AI is a serious focus for us. Tools are in place and licensed, and AI is a distinct consulting area at our firm that you’ll help shape.
  • Consistent architecture. You’ll see your vision come to life because we guide the implementation.
  • Independence as a condition of employment. No vendor lock-in, no license commissions. You recommend what’s right.
  • In-house technical depth. Enterprise and software architects who will challenge you on the merits if you’re off track.
  • Constantly breaking new ground. Different industries, different system landscapes, different technologies. Onboarding is part of the job here.
  • Quick decision-making. Decisions are made in days, not quarters.
  • Flexible work arrangements at our two locations in St. Gallen and Bern; remote work is possible.
  • Your birthday, Olma, Offa, and the St. Gallen OpenAir are considered additional holidays at our company—and of course, the same applies in Bern.

Application

Send us your cover letter and resume to jobs@diselva.com. Feel free to include a half-page description of an architectural decision you were responsible for: the initial situation, the alternatives, your recommendation, and the outcome. If you’ve built something yourself, show it to us, a repository or PoC is sufficient.

We do not work with recruitment agencies and only consider direct applications.
